La Perla - 4 Day/ 3 Night Itinerary
Sunday to Wednesday (Nauta - Nauta)

Day 1 - Sunday - Iquitos / Nauta / Amazon River
08:30 - Meet and greet at Iquitos Airport.
10:00 - Proceed on a 1.5-hour bus transfer to our private Nauta pier, where we board the La Perla.
12:00 - Check-in.
12:30 - Lunch on board. Brief orientation about the journey. While the ship starts sailing down the Marañon River to the confluence of Marañon and Ucayali River where the Amazon River starts.
14:30 - Excursion to the Amazon birthplace.
15:30 - Boat excursion looking for wildlife into the communal reserve of Yanayacu of Yacapana. You will appreciate giant water lilies, birds, iguanas, sloth, the beautiful pink dolphins and much more.
17:30 - Return to the ship.
18:00 - Lecture by our naturalist guides.
19:00 - Reception with Live Music on board.
19:30 - Dinner on board. Overnight in the Amazon River.

Day 2 – Monday - Pacaya Samiria National Reserve Amazon River / Yarapa River / Ucayali River
06:00 - Early wake up call.
06:30 - Birdwatching excursion into the Yanayacu of Yacapana communal reserve. This morning we will see macaws, sloths, monkeys, toucans, fly catchers, trogons, parakeets and more.
08:00 - Breakfast on Board. We turned to sail up the Amazon River to the Ucayali River.
09:30 - Morning Boat excursion to explore tributaries. Into Yarapa River looking for wildlife.
12:30 - Lunch on main boat.
15:00 - Geographical orientation and short talk about the Amazon by the naturalist on board.
16:30 - Visit to the butterfly farm project of Vista Alegre Communal Reserve. This afternoon we will learn about the butterflies from the Amazon and their importance in the rainforest.
18:00 - Back to the ship.
18:30 - Reception with Live Music on board.
19:30 - Dinner.
21:00 - Optional night boat excursion to search for caimans, snakes, tarantulas, scorpions, anacondas, night monkeys and much more.

Day 3 – Tuesday - Ucayali River / Marañon River / Pacaya Samiria National Reserve
06:00 - Wake up call.
06:30 - Get ready to go into the black Yarapa River to the Amazon Natural Park where the suspension bridges and viewing platform with canopy walkways are located. We will have the experience of being up on the bridges searching for wildlife and enjoying of the spectacular view of the forest.
08:00 - Breakfast on board. We keep sailing down the Ucayali to the confluence and up the Marañon river.
09:30 - Boat ride along Piranha Creek, one of the first tributaries of the Pacaya and Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.
12:30 - Lunch on board.
15:30 - Jungle walks in the Casual Communal Reserve. We will learn about medicinal plants, search for insects, tarantulas, frogs and learn basic survival in the forest with our expert naturalists.
17:30 - Return to the Ship.
18:00 - Lecture by our naturalist guides.
19:00 - Reception with Live Music on board.
19:30 - Dinner on board.

10:30 - Brief city tour around Iquitos to see the famous houses dating from the rubber boom era, such as Iron House, Belen Market and more.
11:30 - Arrive to Iquitos Airport to board your outgoing flight.

06:30 - Picnic Breakfast in Pacaya Samiria Natural Reserve. We will be exploring the Yanayacu of Pucate Basin We will look for a nice spot in the middle of the reserve to recharge with a healthy breakfast, where some pink dolphins may enrich our panorama, and with blue and yellow macaws, toucans, monkeys such as howler monkeys, monk sakis and more.
11:30 - Back to the ship and swimming with the pink dolphins.
12:30 - Lunch on board.
16:00 - Shaman Ceremony in San Regis. We will delve deep into our former believes and learn some of our ancients secrets of the rainforest.
16:45 - Tree planting ceremony.
18:00 - Reception with Live Music on board.
19:30 -Dinner on board.
21:00 - Night Boat ride in the jungle of Nauta creek into the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.

Day 3 – Friday - Pacaya Samiria National Reserve / Nauta City

09:00 - Piranha Fishing at San Jose de Zarapanga black water stream named Shiriyacu, using traditional equipment and local techniques.
12:30 - Lunch on board.
15:00 - Cooking Demonstration.
15:30 - Geographic orientation by our naturalist.
16:00 - Visit to Prado Kukama Indian village to learn about our former traditions and traditional medicine. We will see how native Amazonians live, and share this morning with them.
17:30 - Boat excursion to observe the sunset on the Amazon River; waiting for the nightlife to listen to the night fauna symphony. During this excursion we will look for caimans, frogs, tarantulas, snakes and anacondas.
18:30 - Reception with Live Music on board.
19:30 - Farewell dinner on board while the ship sails down to Nauta town.

Early morning offers another opportunity to watch the world awakening in the rainforest. Perhaps you will spy iguanas, river turtles, cormorants, or wattled jacanas during this excursion. We return to our riverboat.

8:00 - Breakfast on board.
9:30 - After breakfast, we will prepare to meet a local Indian family. They will welcome us into their home to share conversation over the midday meal, introducing you to their culture. This is a rare and unforgettable opportunity to gain new insight into a world truly apart from our own.
12:30 - Lunch on board. The ship starts sailing down the Marañon River to the confluence of Marañon and Ucayali River where the Amazon River starts. Afterwards, we will walk along the shores of the Ucayali River, located in the Yucuruchi region of the Amazon. Here we will have an opportunity to see the Victoria Regias water lily, a gigantic aquatic plant.
15:30 - Continuing on our way, we visit the Samiria River to look for charapas (turtles). The river has given up its secrets or at least some of them.
17:30 - Return to the ship.
18:00 - Lecture by our naturalist guides.
19:00 - Reception with Live Music on board.
