GreenTracks no longer operates EXCLUSIVELY Peacock Bass fishing trips. But, on many of our trips during low water (July - October), you may have the opportunity to do some sportfishing for peacocks and other interesting species.
Fishing is best early morning and late afternoon. You should plan on being on the water by dawn to fish for a few hours.
You will fish (depending upon group size) with one or two fisherman per small boat who use the same type of tackle. Fly fishermen fish with other fly fishermen, spin-casters will fish with other spin-casters, etc. If the group is small, you may have a boat and guide to yourself. The guide will handle your boat for you. You will find him to be a valuable source of information concerning tackle and technique.
We fish areas that we have found to be productive on past trips and if time permits, maybe explore a new spot or two.
