Archaeology & Nature: Trujillo, Chaparri and Chiclayo
(4 days/3 nights)

Explore the amazing archaeological sites and diverse cultures of the north coast. Three nights (Trujillo, Chiclayo, and Chaparri).

This itinerary includes visits to Chan Chan and the Sun and the Moon in Trujillo. Between Trujillo and Chiclayo we stop at El Brujo and Paijan to enjoy a colorful show by world-famous Peruvian “Paso Fino” horses. In Chiclayo we visit Chaparri conservation reserve and the Spectacled Bear conservation project. Tucume, the Sipan archaeological site, and the Museum of the Royal Tombs.

Archaeology of the Northern Coast of Peru

Discover the remains of diverse cultures of the north coast. Starting in Lima with Caral, the visit, Sechin, Chan Chan, the Sun and Moon temples and then continue to Chiclayo to visit Tucume, the Sipan archaeological site, and the famous Museum of the Royal Tombs.

Cajamarca

Discover the wonders of Cajamarca. Our tour program includes visits in Cajamarca City : the Ransom room, Ventanillas de Otuzco, Cumbemayo pre-inca channels, the beautiful countryside. Overnight at La Laguna Seca Hotel and Spa, the best hotel area that features thermal waters and high quality spa.

 

Chachapoyas Explorer
(7 days/6 nights)

Route: Chiclayo - Chachapoyas - Cajamarca
A program for travelers with a profound interest in archaeology and adventure. We visit the Kuelap Fortress, Revash, the Macro Towers, the Leymebamba Museum, traditional Andean towns, La Congona archaeological site, Ventanillas de Otuzco, and in Cajamarca the Inca Baths and Ransom Room of Atahualpa. Includes half-day treks on foot and on horseback, and all meals and ccommodation at the following sites: El Chillo Lodge (4 nights), a rustic hostal in Celendin (1 night), and the Laguna Seca Hotel (1 night).

Chachapoyas Express
(4 days/3 nights)

Route: Chiclayo - Chachapoyas - Chiclayo
Three fixed departures per week. Highlights include Kuelap fortress, burial building of Revash, Macro towers, Mummy museum at Leymebamba and an extra excursion according your interest: Gocta waterfalls or Karajia sarcophagus. Accommodation (2 nights at El Chillo and 2 nights at Chachapoyas hotel), full board, treks, horse riding and overland transportation included.

Fixed departures: Departs Chiclayo on Monday, Wednesday & Saturday from May to October. Private services available upon request.


Incas and Moches - Cajamarca & Chiclayo

With one night in Chiclayo and one in Trujillo,this itinerary includes visits to Tucume, the Sipan archaeological site, and the Museum of the Royal Tombs. Between Chiclayo and Trujillo we stop in Paijan to enjoy a colorful show by world-famous Peruvian “Paso Fino” horses. Near Trujillo we visit Chan Chan (the 500-acre complex of pre-Columbian royal palaces) and the majestic Moche Temples of the Sun and the Moon.

This program introduces you to the most important cultures of Northern Peru: Moches, Chimus, Chachapoyas and Inca, visiting Chiclayo, Chachapoyas, Trujillo and Cajamarca - site of the first contact between the Spanish conquistadors and the Inca civilization.
